In collaboration with the PRI Makers Network, the Foundation Center has recently published the 3rd edition of The PRI Directory: Charitable Loans and Other Program-Related Investments by Foundations.
Program-related investments (PRIs) are an alternative form of funding that allow foundations to achieve a social good while generating a modest financial return and that open new sources of low-interest capital to recipients. PRIs can be a valuable source of funding for organizations working in the areas of community revitalization, low-income housing, microenterprise development, historic preservation, and other related fields.
The new edition of this directory includes detailed profiles of leading PRI funders, along with helpful guidance on securing and managing PRIs and a statistical analysis of PRI funding by foundations nationwide. Entries include the name, address, and contact information for each funder, descriptions of past and present PRI activity, and details of recent PRIs and recipients. The directory is fully indexed by subject, grantmaker, recipient name and location, and type of support to allow for quick access to funder profiles.
