The San Francisco Arts Commission recently announced a unique and exciting new project that provides artists opportunities to create one-of-a-kind art installations in vacant storefront windows.
Art in Storefronts will temporarily place original art installations by SF artists in empty storefront windows located at:
- Taylor Street in the Tenderloin
- Third Street in Bayview
- Central Market Street
- Lower 24th Street in the Mission
This project will launch in September and continue to run through January 2010. The deadline for artists to apply is August 14. For the official guidelines and application, please visit the San Francisco Arts Commission website.
